Kansas Off Road Parks and Trails

Kansas is home to some excellent ATV spots where you can explore the countryside. The grassy plains, thick forests and picturesque landscape give you an excellent view of the nature in all its glory. So if you are into bird watching or taking in nature’s beauty while you ride, Kansas ATV trails are just the place for you.

The best ATV trails are scattered all over the state, one of the better known trail is the Perry Lake ATV trail. This trail encompasses approximately 150 acres of a variety of terrain from rugged and bumpy terrain for veteran riders, to smoother forest trails for the beginners. The park also has picnic area, restrooms and snack bars which makes it a family get-a-way. Other ATV trails are the John Redmon Reservoir, Hickory Creek ATV Trail, Otter Creek ATV Area, Syracuse Sand Dunes, Tuttle Creek ORV Area and Pomona Lake area. Unlike other states Kansas does not have many regulations and rules for riding their ATVs; however it requires that certain rules should be followed. ATVs should not weigh more than 6 pounds and 45 inches wide. So if your vehicle does not adhere to these delineate, then you may not be allowed to ride your vehicle here.
