Ohio ATV Trails and ORV Areas

You will be quite keen to know about Ohio ATV Trails and exciting Off Road Vehicle (ORV) areas. Well, you must try Pike State Forest, Wayne National Forest plus a host of other off road riding areas in Ohio.

Pike State Forest is located in southern Ohio also, just about 80 miles, south of Columbus, and mere 3 miles - east of Sinking Spring (on SR 124). Pike State Forest covers about 12,084 acres in the wonderful western Pike County and the eastern Highland County.

The ATV facility has on offer 10 miles of trail open to all-terrain vehicles and motorcycles. The trail (singletrack or multi type) winds through the hollows, ridge tops, to offer the rider a challenge as well as beautiful scenery and amazingly breathtaking views. Parking apart from a novice area are provided on the site that also has about 43 miles of hiking trails and 33 miles of horse trails.

The Wayne National Forest is another avenue that provides excellent opportunities for riding your All-terrain vehicles (ATVs). There are three different trail systems on the Athens and Ironton Districts.

Ohio has restored APV registration reciprocity. Thus owners of OHVs that are registered in other states are allowed to ride in the state of Ohio without getting an Ohio APV registration.  If you are under 16, he/she is not needed to possess a driver’s license or a trail permit. But the young rider must be accompanied by someone above 18 with a valid state driver’s license and a trail permit.

You should also consider Hanging Rock ORV Trail and Lawhorn's Retreat for ATV excitement.
